Laura Beshilas is a policy researcher for the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. Her work involves providing technical assistance to islands, remote communities, and tribes with clean energy and energy resilience planning and strategy. In addition, Laura is passionate about pursuing energy equity and energy justice in all facets of her work. Laura holds a master’s degree in Sustainability Planning and Management from the University of Colorado Boulder and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Northwestern University. Outside of work, Laura is an avid reader, gardener, and hiker.
